2026 Bob Dunn Memorial Scholarship
How to apply
The Bob Dunn Memorial Scholarship Fund awards annual scholarships to graduating seniors from the Morongo Basin who demonstrate academic achievement, civic awareness, and community involvement. Established in memory of lifelong local leader Bob Dunn, the scholarship supports students as they take their next step after high school while honoring a legacy of public service and leadership.
Scholarship Awards (Class of 2026)
- 1st Place: $2,000
- 2nd Place: $1,000
- 3rd Place: $750
- 4th Place: $500
Eligibility
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from the Morongo Basin, including students attending public, private, or homeschool programs. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a complete application packet that includes:
- Three short written responses (up to 300 words each):
- What makes America unique?
- Which article of the Bill of Rights is most important to you, and why?
- Looking at today’s news, which issue stands out to you most, and why?
- Resume (optional)
- Proof of GPA
- Student photo
- Contact information (name, address, phone number, email, and school)

Selected applicants will be invited to interview. All candidates will be asked the same questions.
